2.1 Personal data

The processing of personal data is not part of Frames’ core business. Frames may under circumstances process your personal data.

Frames respects the privacy of the visitors on our Website, and will solely use the information you provide to us for previously determined purposes, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) and the Dutch General Data Protection Regulation Implementation Act.
Frames may process the following personal data for the following purposes:

a. To be able to provide our products and/or services to you

If you wish to download certain available technical data (e.g. brochures and product leaflets) and/or the Frames Code of Conduct from the Frames Website, if you wish to contact Frames colleagues through the Frames Website, if we need to contact you regarding your order or a question you have sent us, or in order to process your orders and send invoices, we may, for example, ask for your name, company name, bank account details and e-mail address.
The legal basis for the processing of this personal data:

  • The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract; or
  • The processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of Frames, which, in this case, are improving our products and services and informing you about our new products, services, and limited marketing and sales activities, except in cases where our interests are overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms which require protection of your personal data.

b. To be able to inform you on the nearest Frames office location

When visiting the Frames Website, we may process your IP-address, in order to be able to inform you about the Frames office that is nearest to your location.

The legal basis for the processing of this personal data:

  • The processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of Frames, which, in this case, are improving our products and services and informing you about our new products, services, and limited marketing and sales activities, except in cases where our interests are overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms which require protection of your personal data.

c. To be able to process your job application and/or to provide you with a job offer

If you decide to apply for a job opportunity at Frames or submit an open job application, you may be requested to provide your name, gender, date of birth, home address, telephone number, e-mail address as well as your C.V. (Curriculum Vitae). Such personal data shall only be used by us in order to evaluate your job application and in case of a specific job application your suitability for the relevant job vacancy.

The legal basis for the processing of this personal data:

  • You have given consent to the processing of your personal data for one or more specific purposes; or
  • The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party, or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

d. To comply with relevant laws and regulations

Under circumstances, we may be obliged to process, for example, your name, address, e mail address, bank account details, to comply with relevant local or European laws and regulations, including, but not limited to tax and administration laws.

∙ The processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which Frames is subject.

2.2 Applicable retention period

Frames keeps your personal data or other data that you provide to us, whether or not provided via the Website, as long as necessary for the purposes indicated above, or to comply with our legal obligations such as (statutory) retention periods. After expiry of such a retention period, Frames will destroy all copies containing personal data or anonymize such data. In respect of a job application or job offer (as set forth in paragraph 2.1(c) above, please note that if your application is subsequently rejected or in case the application procedure for a relevant job vacancy is cancelled, we shall proceed to delete above mentioned personal data provided by you within 4 weeks after such rejection or cancellation. We may retain your personal data up to one year after rejection or cancellation in order to inform you of other job opportunities, but only after receiving your explicit consent to such use.
