Frames Gas Dew Pointing trains in operation in Dambořice Underground Gas Facility

June 9, 2016

Frames completed 2 gas dew pointing trains for the Czech underground facility Dambořice. The complete facility, Moravia Gas Storage a.s. was officially opened on the 2nd of June 2016.

The dew pointing trains, based on the low temperature separation, will treat the natural gas, when it is retrieved from the underground gas storage. The stored gas will ensure the availability of natural gas when the demand increases during winter. The trains will remove both water and hydrocarbons from the natural gas prior to injection back into the national gas grid.

Frames has the knowledge, expertise, products and technologies in-house to supply and integrate multiple solutions for either aquifer, depleted gas field or salt cavern storage locations. A seamless integration of tailor-made components, in this case the gas dew pointing units including Frames Internals and HIPPS Systems, is key when optimizing an UGS facility.

About the project
The underground facility Dambořice is located in the South Moravian region of the Czech Republic. With working gas capacity totaling 448 million cubic meters, the facility will be one of the largest facilities of its kind in the Czech Republic.
